I do like his message, especially about having raised his daughter to have self-respect and not put up with mistreatment.

I had decided not to post it because off that, but his description of the love he had for his daughter, and how "all she knew was love" made decide to go ahead. The traditional masculine protectiveness of daughters was ameliorated by the addendum.

So, no not perfect, but pretty good for a slam.
