I can't even comment on this coherently. I found it on a pro-life website with this explanation:
The Most Pro-life Thing Youll See This Week
March 10, 2014
This video blew away all my expectations for a lingerie ad. Yes! True beauty isn't skin deep. The most beautiful thing in the world is love...the kind that makes us do ANYTHING for the person we love. In this case for this woman's unborn baby. Let's thank Wacoal, the lingerie company that made this, by spreading this video far and wide!

However, the odds are steep.

(15,077 posts)went out on me. Can you give a brief description of the video, please
It shows this couple who are expecting a child. At one point, they are in the doctor's office and he is telling them they need to make a decision soon. It goes on to show the woman spending a night agonizing over the right thing to do. They show a crib that needs to be assembled. Ultimately, she decides to put the crib together. The decision was whether or not to get chemo to cure the cancer that may or may not kill her and that could harm or cause the death of the unborn child.
It just seems a little heavy-duty for an underwear ad.

(15,077 posts)An underwear add? FFS. Women's undergarments aren't even safe from right to no lifers. If they had their way I would most likely be dead right now. I detest them with my whole being. Of course they would have felt sad while blaming me for a doomed pregnancy. Then not given a shit about the 3 kids I already had at that point in time.
I really can not express enough how I much I hate those pompous hate filled violent squirts of diarrhea.
Warpy
(113,130 posts)but it was still her body, her life, and her choice. The RTL jerks will applaud continuing a pregnancy and completely gloss over the fact that the choice wasn't forced on her by men.
Iris
(16,059 posts)It's all part of the hegemony. At least women are given the option of giving up their lives for someone they are personally...er...connected to rather than just a bunch of people that live in the country that they "love" enough to become cannon fodder for.

(5,279 posts)From the few words I caught, and the alphabet observed, I think it's a commercial for Thailand (65% certain). Wacoal is a lingerie company out of Kyoto Japan. I don't know if this is the Thai specific commercial or part of a larger campaign. Effectively written and shot. Could be a movie of the week sort of story. You can respect the mother decision and root for her in the story.
Web site also features a profile piece on an anti-abortionist women's health center stalker/harasser; and a "smack down by children on stupid pro-choice teacher" piece.
mercuryblues
(15,077 posts)can root for her. But the right to not live people want to take away all medical options when women are faced with medical tragedies during pregnancy. leaving no informed choice. Hell, they are even making it legal for doctors to lie to pregnant women about health challenges they face if the doctor even thinks the woman will abort.

(15,077 posts)many right to no lifers fail to understand is that the is no moral superiority in choosing to die for a fetus. This ad glorifies a woman risking her life for what might be in the future.
Thankfully for me, I had medical options to protect my life. I did not have to rely on "God's will" Because of that 2 years later I was able to have another child. It wasn't an easy pregnancy, but it did not threaten my life.

(15,077 posts)heart broken when I went through that. I mourned the loss of what could have been. I came home from the hospital that day and just wanted to watch some mindless TV. It was the day of the Columbine shootings.
Odd how things work out. If that had not happened, I definitely would not have my 12 year old red headed son. Most homes have fire safety plans, we have a zombie apocalypse plan. He thanks me for taking care of him when he is sick. He thinks I bring him the wastebasket for his comfort. Has no clue that I am protecting the floor and furniture. He thinks I give him ice cream for breakfast sometimes because I love him, not because I know he will be the one making me my vodka and cranberry in my old age.
