Belgium: Firefighters Clash with Police Protesting Against Paycuts in Brussels

Around 1000 Belgium firefighters gathered in Brussels to protest against paycuts and other social restrictions. Firefighters clashed with police when they forced through the police blockade, entered the “neutral zone” and protested in front of Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo’s office.

protesters. Protest at that place in Brussels is even downright illegal. I once saw riot police deployed in order to prevent a march reaching government HQ - nothing like that to be seen here.

But, more power to the firemen. It's like with angry farmers - they block roads with tractors, nothing happens.

Thanks for posting, had heard of the protest, but the video is better.

but there is a 'bread and circus'-like element to this protest. I'm almost positive the exact same protest happened a year or so back between the same two forces.
