Word of uprising in Bangladesh

Political Dissident ‏@der_bluthund

It looks like the people of Bangladesh are in revolt and telecommunications are being cut
#BanglaSpring #siegedhaka

It does not surprise me that the people of Bangladesh are in revolt when their government won't even enforce basic safety laws

Despite our desire to boycott retailers who sell sweatshop clothing, there is not much we can effectively do here. Rather, these workers will have to mobilize themselves just like workers did here 100 years ago to seize an equitable share of that $20 billion/year industry.

On edit:
Having made a logical assumption that this was in response to the factory collapse, its saddening to read that these are radicals demanding an anti-blasphemy law. What a way to squander the world sympathy and attention that may have aided improving working conditions and wages.
