that small investors in the 99% would risk their limited capital in IPOs. I thought it akin to wagering with the house payment.

capital with the Facebook IPO. There should not be varied tiers of information, and where there is, Occupy should look into it. In actual fact the basic assumption behind all economic models is that "given perfect information then people will act according to.....". Well this is a case, as there are many, where there is not perfect information. So the market fails. And government should step in. And Occupy should be concerned with this as they are with education and other things that mitigate against different people having more information to start out with.

Occupy did wake up more than 50% of the country to the inequality between the 99% and the 1%. And they should take on some issues that middle class people would want to know about. Gives them a better base. Makes for better markets. Occupy should be about all kinds of inequality between the extremes as well as between the middle and the 1%. We want the 99% to be one group after all. With big numbers we will win this war against the average American funded by the rightwing rich.
