How much do politics play in your social life?

Last edited Fri Jun 14, 2024, 06:12 PM - Edit history (1)

As a loner in a red county I think that it somewhat limits my daily interactions.

How much does this affect your loner-ness?

I never bring it up, because there are so many more interesting things to talk about. HeartachesNhangovers Jun 2024 #1

To me, people who persist in bringing their political beliefs into the conversation just aren't good company, no matter what those beliefs might be. Why? People who talk about politics almost never have an original thing to say. They're repeating the latest outrage that I already read about (possibly a dozen times or more), or they're bringing up something they "saw on Facebook". Honestly, if I cared what people are saying on Facebook (or Twitter, or a talk show, or ... ), I'd read Facebook instead of talking to a real human being.
