Multiple tissues of the male genital tract can be infected with SARS-CoV-2, reports a new Northwestern Medicine study in large animal models. The study, in SARS-CoV-2 infected-rhesus macaques, revealed the prostate, vasculature of testicles, penis, and testicles were all infected with the virus.

The study is posted as a preprint on bioRxiv, meaning it should be considered preliminary research until it is published in a peer-reviewed journal.

“Even if this is only a small percentage of the infected, it represents millions of men who may suffer from a negative impact on their sexual health and fertility,” Hope said.

... who categorically refused to cooperate and use the tools at our disposal to stomp down Covid 19 at the initial outbreak.

The use of face masks, the six foot distancing, the instructions to avoid crowed and conjested areas and finally the vaccine and the booster shots were all vehemently rejected by the MAGA Nazis crowd because - the (NAZI) Libs were infringing upon their precious freedoms.

This prolonged MAGA attitude permitted Covid 19 to gain a solid foothold and run rampant. Then permitted various variants to then gain a stronger foothold. All the while the juvenile delinquent MAGA crowd cheerfully clogged our ICU hospital wards, burnt out the medical staff and first responders, and joyfully caused unknown illness and astoundingly unneccessary death tolls. All so they could be insanely recalcitrant and teach the Libs a lesson in the fine arts of political back stabbing - no matter what it costs society or how high the death toll. As a direct result of their political infantile paralysis compounded by their stuborn juvenile delinquencies - they could give a hoot less about their elders, family, children, neighbors, coworkers, or casual acquaintances or friends.

America snuffed out Polio and Smallpox. With a little cooperation and assistance from the MAGA brigade - we could have experienced a significantly lower death toll inflicted on this country by the unchecked and uncontrolled spread of the Covid 19 virus.

The average life expectancy of Americans fell precipitously in 2020 and 2021, the sharpest two-year decline in nearly 100 years and a stark reminder of the toll exacted on the nation by the continuing coronavirus pandemic.

In 2021, the average American could expect to live until the age of 76, federal health researchers reported on Wednesday. The figure represents a loss of almost three years since 2019, when Americans could expect to live, on average, nearly 79 years.

The reduction has been particularly steep among Native Americans and Alaska Natives, the National Center for Health Statistics reported. Average life expectancy in those groups was shortened by four years in 2020 alone.

The cumulative decline since the pandemic started, more than six and a half years on average, has brought life expectancy to 65 among Native Americans and Alaska Natives — on par with the figure for all Americans in 1944.


In 2021, the shortening of life span was more pronounced among white Americans than among Black Americans, who saw greater reductions in the first year of the pandemic.

6. My son got Covid 3X. He wasn't an antimasker, he was active duty military

following all the rules. He masked constantly, but he was in close quarters when waves of infection swept through. Covid hurt our side, too. Not a joke. (Responding to comments not the OP)

(who also got Covid) and plans for a family in the future, so this kind of news is very hard to learn. All 3 infections were difficult for him, but didn't require hospitalization. I'll continue to hope he's ok.

Explaining how the US life expectancy took a major two year plunge due to the cavalier behavior and attitudes of not taking the Covid pandemic seriously and then adamantly refusing to lift a finger to help mitigate the dangerously climbing death toll sweeping through our country.

15. The planet's human population is set to tick over 8 billion in November

so a loss of fertility is most likely a good thing. I just wonder if they've bothered to study women yet. We know pregnancy is a risk factor for severe/fatal Covid, so it seems likely something is going on there, also.
