Or is "I am not an antisemite but... genocide" BS to remain the accepted go-to lingo?

I wish I could respond to this no longer thinly veiled antisemitism in the same way the speaker of the EU Parliament did and common decency demanded: "Ok, Mr Bigot, you will leave the Chambers NOW!"
