Had a really wierd dream and felt it meant something.
Thought I'd spill it here before I forgot the details.
There was a tall 2-lane divided walkway up to a higher level. I wouldn't exactly call it a mountain. There was an unjumpable void between the lanes. I volunteered to take a message up to the upper level and return. I was told I had to take the left lane. I saw men in dour business suits along the way that were 'stationed' at various spots, very little color in decor, clothing, etc. They spoke to me but mainly small-talk in passing, some offering a small drink of water. I reached the end of the walkway and was able to deliver my message (can't remember who the person was that I was delivering it to. He cautioned me that I wouldn't be able to get back. I said I'd come back up if I couldn't get down but I was going to try (I didn't want to be there. I felt very uncomfortable).
I started down the right side and there were 'way stations' or rooms along the way as on the left The first one I came to, the person minding the room told me that I needed to go back up to the higher level, go down the left side to the first room I stopped in and flip a tall switch. Leave it flipped and hurry back to head back down the right side. Flipping that switch and tying off a rope that appeared would allow me to pass through the way station with less difficulty. There were more people on this side, mainly women and children, all races. There was joy, colorful clothing and decor, they offered food for the journey, and were friendly, there was music. I worked my way through several way stations, meeting families, new people, learning some tricks to making the journey down less hazardous.
Then I woke up.
I wanted to finish the dream and return to where I started from.
