2. Inauguration Day can't be moved

I mean no disrespect, but by law, the inauguration must happen on Jan 20 at 12:00 Noon Eastern Time, full stop. I'm not sure why you'd suggest it could be moved?

3. If January 20th falls on a Sunday, it is held on January 21

In 2025, Martin Luther King Day falls on the 20th. As that is a Federal holiday it is possible the inauguration would be pushed to the 22nd. The last time I looked, it does appear that it is still scheduled for the 20th.

And swearing Kamala in on MLK Day would seem so appropriate.

4. The exception is only for Sundays, not holidays.

I expect it will be left on the 20th, since the law is only provides the exception for it being a Sunday, not a holiday. Besides, as you said, it would be rather poetic and appropriate for the first black woman to be sworn in on MLK day.
