No hex please, we're witches

FIRE burn and cauldron bubble: We find out what really goes on in a modern coven.
---------
I GREW up with a lot of witches. There was the good Harry Potter, the bad Charmed and the downright ugly Practical Magic and Hocus Pocus. Did it influence me? Well, I did once go to a Halloween party with a very impractical broom and witch's hat. But when it comes to burning candles, I'm more partial to the scent of Jo Malone's white jasmine and mint than burnt sage.

Still I'm curious by nature. So earlier this year when I stumbled across some pagans while searching Google for meet-up groups in Adelaide, I soon found myself searching for South Australia and witches as well. It turned out there were more covens than you could poke a broom at.
