Author of Trump binding spell releases new book: Magic for the Resistance
Michael M. Hughes and others wrote the original script for the Trump Binding Spell, which took the internet by storm that February. Over a year later, in September, Llewellyn published Hughes book Magic for Resistance: Rituals and Spells for Change. The Wild Hunt recently spoke with Hughes about his book, his life, and the Trump Binding Spell.
The book
Hughes described the present time as a crisis moment when we need to merge our spiritual principles with our political participation. He considers the book as a primer of sorts for his style of eclectic magic. People can adapt the rituals and spells in the book to a variety of traditions. The book is part history and part teaching guide.

(52,208 posts)They are all marked on my calendar. I am mad that the tRump marker/headstone for where I bury the remnants of the spell (orange candle, feather, and the ashes of the ugly picture that you burn in the spell) were raked away by the gardeners at my apt last Thurs. Oh well.
The only part of the spell that bothers me is reciting the Lord's Prayer. I recite a diff protective "prayer" to my own deity. Here is that part.
Preparation:
Write Donald J. Trump on the orange candle stub with a pin or nail
Arrange other items in a pleasing circle in front of you
Lean the Tower card against something so that its standing up (vertically)
Say a prayer for protection and invoke blessing from your preferred spirit or deity. Reading the 23rd Psalm aloud is common in Hoodoo/Conjure/Rootwork traditions. Experienced magicians may perform an appropriate banishing ritual.
