As an atheist, I think "Bring Your Bible To School Day" is a great idea.

https://www.rawstory.com/2019/09/fox-news-host-christian-kids-should-bring-bibles-to-school-so-they-can-debate-against-gay-marriage/

Fox News host Pete Hegseth and Jim Daly, president of Focus on the Family, argued on Sunday that Christian children should bring their Bibles to school in order to evangelize against marriage rights for LGBT people.

While appearing on Fox & Friends, Daly defended NFL quarterback Drew Brees, who promoted “Bring Your Bible To School Day.”

“There’s a small segment of society that doesn’t want the Christian society to express our values,” Daly opined. “I’m so proud of Drew Brees for doing this… It’s a great way for young people to learn how to express their faith in a country that allows them the freedom to do so.”

“We don’t hate anybody,” he continued. “We have a different idea, a biblical idea of what the definition of marriage is.”

Maybe these kids can explain to me why it's okay to eat bacon despite the Bible forbidding it.

Or why it's okay for their male teachers to shave their beard despite the Bible forbidding it.

Or why their female teachers are allowed to boss around men despite the Bible forbidding it.

Or why it's okay for daddies to sell their daughters into slavery.

Or why God's kill-count in the Bible is so mucher higher than Satan's.

Or maybe... maybe... don't drag kids into religious debates? Maybe????????

and kill every man, woman, child, and all the animals.

Or how Mary gave birth to a male baby without acquiring any male sperm

Or where Noah put over 600,000 different beetle species on the arc, or ants, flies, spiders, locusts, etc

Or how Jesus defied gravity to ascend to heaven without a rocket (my personal favorite)

Or where exactly heaven is

and on and on

We have ample historical evidence of how "Christian societies" behave. And it ain't great.

Public schools are legally compulsory with captive audiences. Therefore it is inappropriate and unlawful to use this forum to proselytize ANY religion. Bringing a Bible for purposes other than silent reading is improper, especially if being used to promote positions that fly in the face of tolerance and acceptance of all types of people.

If there's any part of the bible you don't like, you can just call it allegorical and dismiss it!
