Christian Hate Group Denounces Parents Magazine for Putting Gay Couple on Cover
By Hemant Mehta, January 18, 2019
A conservative Christian group is furious that Parents magazine features a gay couple on its latest cover because they look happy and normal and NOT DEVIANT IN THE LEAST. That image goes against the bigotry that groups like One Million Moms (Twitter followers: 3,600) want to spread.
The Christian group put out this press release condemning the cover:Parents is using its magazine as a platform to promote the pro-homosexual lifestyle. Even if families do not personally subscribe to the publication, they should be warned that it could be displayed in waiting rooms of dentist and doctor offices, where children could easily be subjected to the glorification of same-sex parents.
This agenda will be a deal breaker for most conservative families, so, with this information, many of our supporters and families may choose to cancel their subscription to Parents. After all, most conservative and Christian families will disagree morally with the magazines decision, and subsequently, will not want to support its content.
If your family is traumatized by seeing this cover, then you have a shitty family. Its that simple.

(24,031 posts)but like a lot of us here at DU, we're finding out the truth on a regular basis. A Million Moms...sounds classy but it turns out to be a HATE group in disguise. Maybe this why they have a limited following, considering the name that they picked for themselves (a Million Moms vs. 3600 twitter followers...go figure).
One Million Moms, a group that's ranting and raving hate against a cover on a magazine depicting two fellow Americans, who simply happened to have children and are gay.
First of all, to the magazine. Thanks for an interesting cover story for the month.
To the Million Moms: You are acting really classy and you should be really proud of yourselves for showing others your hatred and bigotry. Maybe you need to look at yourselves a little more closely and decide if you want to be considered a 'conservative' group that is bigoted in the extreme OR something better, and be more classy in front of your own kids, eh?

(24,031 posts)their true intent, to insult and belittle fellow Americans.
Thanks for the heads up, Major Nikon.
Disgusting that they use the word 'christian' to describe themselves.

(15,024 posts)There's nothing magical about Christianity that transforms all Christians into good people. There are plenty of really rotten people who are Christians, but remember that they don't see it that way. They really believe this is what God wants them to do.

My question is serious. They believe they are Christians. You don't agree. What do you think they are?

For that matter, was there some suggestion the mythology doesn't say Satan's track record isn't superior to the Jehovah Monster's?

(1,896 posts)But I was referring to the guy with a body count in the millions, relative to the guy with a body count of ten, according to the mythology.
