Related: About this forumOn the nights of December 7-8, 2025, the Moon will undergo an incredible 82-minute transformation
slipping into Earths shadow and re-emerging as a fiery, unforgettable Blood Moon. 🔥🌕✨
This is not just an eclipse
it's a cosmic performance shaped by darkness, illuminated by sunlight bending through Earths atmosphere, and painted in deep shades of crimson.
As the Moon slowly reddens, the sky around it will grow quiet, almost reverent as if the universe itself is holding its breath. Each minute feels like a page turning in a story written across the heavens. 📖🌌
The sight of a glowing red Moon rising above the fields has captivated humanity for thousands of years. Tonight, you become part of that long line of skywatchers, staring upward as the ordinary becomes extraordinary.
For 82 minutes, the Moon becomes a lantern of fire glowing with the colors of every sunrise and sunset happening on Earth at that very moment. 🌅❤️

(9,223 posts)There seems to be a LOT of people who don't know the earth is round, or who think the sun just goes out everywhere at night. The comments were funny, and really REALLY sad. Made me understand why there are Trump voters.

(24,726 posts)I thought lunar eclipses only happen when the moon is full. Tonight it will be waning gibbous. The full moon was two nights ago.
If the sky is clear, it will still be a nice-looking moon.
