I’ve seen them on the Missouri, the Mississippi, and the Ohio Rivers in the last month.

All the rivers are low.

That rig could be used to dredge but no dredging bucket is visible. That is however a tidal estuary so low water is not the reason they would be dredging.
I miss living in southern MD. I used to bass fish on an unnamed lake on MD 5 between Oakville and Hollywood and spent many hours collecting fossils between Calvert Cliffs and Brownies Beach.

Yeah I knew you lived in the Pax River area from the pictures you post. I lived in Ft. Washington but fished all over southern MD from Great Falls to the Bay. I spent a lot of time at Capt. Billys on the Potomac and Abner's in Chesapeake Beach eating crabs too.

Like I said, I miss Maryland a lot.
