So we're camping Saturday to late Sunday wanna make special weekend

School starts 8/23 boys will be 8 th grade Now we’re gonna kayak in my boys and dad. My brother will be in the jon boat with supplies we float we fish into interior of this lake. We put in at man made dam and or we could walk the 4 miles as the road washed out years ago. This place is awesome loaded bass Muskie chain pickerel trout that washes out from state park stream. But the camping list so far from our sons make me smile. We fish all day then campfire fish at night.

Tent sleeping bags last time we just built poncho lean too and roll up in old poncho liners ,and the guys were like were sleeping in boat. Bugs snakes I’m like you’ll be fine nope they slept in 14 foot jon
boat.

Camping list so far
Individual bars soap we bathe in lake
Two ply and wipes wipes huh
Mosquito repellent ok
Toothbrushes tooth paste a must
Two gallons ice tea
Bologna cheese mayonnaise what mayo ok I’ll bag it water proof lake keep it cool.
Folding chairs
Ok I don’t think our two thirteen year olds understand travel lite this is not a cruise.were gonna be fishing heavy we can eat what we catch, They’re excited and I’m sure the list will grow I may have to X some items off. Recently no you do not need to bring shampoo to our one son.

Remember that statement from the Granddaughters a few years ago, when we took them Camping on the Yellowstone. We told them they should have left their darn phones at home.

no internet when camping or phones I actually waterproof mine in bag but it gets put with gear. We would have to come out aways to get a signal but better to have and not need.

The entrenching tool goes well with the two-ply.

MRIs in case the fish aren't biting. And because it's hard to find good C-Rats these days.

Good fishing!

I got poncho liners for my kids. Mine was so thin I had to retire it and my Warsaw Pack girl friend wraps up in it. She doesn’t go to the field.

I’d make them sleep on the ground. Sounds like you got a good start.

Cooking gear and cooking supplies.

I've been meaning to get out for 3 nights but it's been too hot here in Central Florida.

as I said, I've been packing/unpacking etc. One day rain, next day rain, then 95 degrees, who wants to hike in that, then rain..

Hoping September is more better.
