Sadly, DU still will not create a forum for ecology/wildlife, only birding. All major news sites ignore ecology. If one cares about the environmental impact of the current administration or if you just love wildlife then you would see the need for such a forum.
Either way, I'll post this here: Two monarch butterfly caterpillars eating milkweed in my pollinator garden:

(60 posts)If I had known I would have planted only milkweed. Between yesterday and to day seven butterflies emerged from chrysalis's, 5 females and two males.

(9,608 posts)I cover a lot of wildlife issues, and agree that more education on such things as important, along with teaching everyone how to create backyard habitats to help our struggling wildlife and protect our pollinators.

(37,344 posts)It's kind of hard to disentangle environmental concerns from discussions of the biggest sources of pollution, or so the thinking apparently goes, so they are combined in one Group.
Many ecology-related posts go to E/E.

(60 posts)I've advocated for a forum dedicated to ecology, but never heard a word back. This, in my opinion, is astonishing given the subject matter and the limited choices for posts related to ecology, biology, biodiversity and conservation. Being a newby, no one cares about my opinion.
