We get 40 million visitors each year from everywhere. Why do so many limit their experience to "the Strip" (which most locals try to avoid)?

(2,016 posts)When my family and I all meet in Las Vegas, we always reserve 1/2 our time for getting OUT of Vegas, and enjoying the surrounding landscapes. Your map above depicts what can easily be done, even if you never get out of the car!
This year, we're off to Laughlin, NV - and have planned again to spend 1/2 out time bopping around the local natural areas. (Or, as my dad is fond of saying: 'Let's do nature shit!"
(And, it's a lot cheaper than losing the family farm on the slots, too.)
