Thanks in advance for any feedback

(12,571 posts)Im currently digging their new game Starfield - pretty massive Skyrim/Fallout in space. No expanded content yet, and no mods on XBox, but the sheer scope is incredible.

Came out in September, Ive been playing since release. Have about 500 hours played, according to Steam. Playing the same character too.
Much of it would look familiar to a Skyrim player, even though its set in a future in which earth is uninhabitable but humanity has spread across dozens of star systems. There are literally a thousand planets. There are factions and side quests, you can be good or evil, you get a starship for free during the main quest line but there are multiple quests with a ship reward. You can also board enemy ships and take them. Of course you want to modify and improve whatever you acquire or buy.
Yes its Bethesda so there are numerous bugs, but its actually the least buggy of their more recent games, and theyve actually fixed some of them.
There is so much to do. Im level 140, my husband (who has some ridiculous number of hours played, such that Im a slacker by comparison) is nearly 300.
Im reluctant to go into too much detail about the story and main quest line because spoilers, but if you loved Skyrim and fallout 4 you should definitely give it a look-see.

(12,571 posts)I love it, and agree it's the least buggy Bethesda game I've run across. Currently around Level 71 after 3 months. I can't wait until modding gets opened up for XBox - there are a dozen little things I'd like to see changed that I'm sure the modders will address.

(7,904 posts)Legacy of the Dragonborn is the centerpiece. I believe it's available on Bethesda.net.
https://creations.bethesda.net/en/skyrim/details/12072/Legacy_of_the_Dragonborn (XBox port of the mod.)

(12,571 posts)Agree on Legacy of the Dragonborn - completely changed the way I played Skyrim - and the Starfield devs obviously learned from it - you have a central clubhouse residence and a team who help you explore planets for artifacts.

(7,904 posts)Have not tried Starfield as of yet, partly because I've been waiting for over a decade for Star Citizen to be released.
