I have had the worst luck trying to get one. We've been trying to get from Target so we can pick it up. But if you live on the West Coast, the stock comes in a 4 freaking AM!! Fucking cracy. We have a couple of alert apps, but so far no luck. But Playstation isn't really helping the situation. They're making money. What do they care?

(7,471 posts)the easiest way, if you can afford it, to get one is just to break and pay one of the hoarders extra...which is what I ended up doing last spring.

(10,387 posts)... buy from eBay or a similar site and I refuse to pay way over the list. I know we'll get one eventually, but for goodness sakes, this is stupid. And it was really frustrating to find out a friend of mine actually bought two of them. And I can't get one. Sheesh.

(721 posts)Son had been waiting a year for one and we just decided to bite the bullet and pay 😂. Then we had to add more internal storage 😡

I bought my son an external drive for our PS4 for Christmas a couple of years ago and he dropped buying discs right away. It has also saved us a lot of money on games, too. (They have an online sale on now for games under $20. Some are under $5. And several are free.)
It's so much more convenient than using discs. So don't feel bad about that.

(10,387 posts)And we didn't pay the scalping price, either. It came at the end of an awful week, too, when our heater was out for several days. So it was a great finish to a lousy week.
