Anybody even care anymore about Diablo 3?
EDIT POST: I care, now, and it is more fun than it was at the beginning!!!

(39,961 posts)but I did anyway. I got Reaper of Souls. It took me two days to be able to actually play it because logging in was a disaster.
Finally I got in.
Things I like: Loot 2.0 is pretty good so far, but mind you, I wanted to play the Crusader and I'm only level 10, so take that with a grain of salt. It does seem far better than before, though (I quit playing a long time ago after I got a Monk to 60 and did the whole Act 4 Inferno campaign).
So far, I like the Crusader. Running around with a two hander and a shield is badass.

(39,961 posts)Thank you for the extras. The Monk has clearly also been beefed up, I don't think I came even close to dying in content to my level.

(95,337 posts)Those are so much more fun and where everyone is questing. It's the new Cow thingie. My Barbarian now has over 600k vitality and 200k damage. This morning I did a rift in Torment and had no problem with it. I'm getting amazing drops and I use the enchant lady to fine-tune those things into even better equipment. You should see the legendary sword that dropped for me.
Do not trash those things I gave you. With the new legend items now Account Bound those legend items I gave you are valuable since you can no longer trade Legend Items but you can trade the older ones. All the enchanting and gem making my coffers is down to 10mill in coins.

(39,961 posts)Don't worry about it. I have enough to keep us both in enchantments and gems until the next expansion.

(39,961 posts)It kind of kicks ass. I didn't expect it to be this much fun. I am loving the Crusader class, but only have gotten to 23. I played with Lynne and some other folks in a public game (and she generously loaned me some bad ass uniques for a 61) and the Monk felt better than ever.
I felt like I was kicking ass, taking names and doing it for days. The Monk is now FUN as hell.
I love tank characters with a twist, which is no doubt why I love both the Crusader and the Monk. I will say, though, I might just take my Barbarian for a spin these days.
It's actually that good that even a jaded D3-er should give it a try!

(95,337 posts)And I like how they have the 5 levels you can pick from when playing the game. After I finished the 5th act I went to torment level and actually died in Act 1 before getting to the town. It's that tough.
But the Rifts are great and that's where all the players are at. This morning there were over 1000 players doing Torment level Rifts. Basically someone has the parts to open the rift and then you do this adventure that combines 4 random map areas into one journey complete with bounties and a new final boss that is pretty tough to complete. In return you get great drops, tons of experience and things like blood shards that can be traded in for more great equipment.
I also like the enchant lady (similiar to the craft guy and geeky gem guy). You can take one spec on your weapon/armor and enhance it. But here is the catcher - each of those specs you can see what additional specs could be selected but when you go to enhance that spec it'll return only 3 options you can use. It took me 4 tries to finally get 3 sockets into some kick as chest armor I had found but well worth it. Only thing is legendary items are costly I went to enchant a legend ring to try and get a socket into it and I needed to salvage some crappy legendy item for legend parts and also sacrifice an imperial emerald (next level above Marquise) and about 200K in gold coins. I did not get my socket however I ended up with 90+ resistances on all elements so that was a good outcome. So I mainly do my enchants for rare items that have good qualities that need a bit of tweaking to be better.
It's good game!

(39,961 posts)I got a socket installed on my wicked ass two handed sword for my crusader instead of "increases pickup yardage" or some other silly property. I promptly slapped the biggest ruby I had in that and the owning was on.
I love my monk, but the Crusader just kicks ass so far when played and geared correctly.

(39,961 posts)This is what D3 should have been at the outset. It's like D2 when I added LOD. It got unreal with how fun it was.
I hope the Crusader stays this much fun at higher levels. I have a "Kick everybody's ass" button in Falling Sword. It literally decimates everything in a radius. You can't use it too often because it has a long cool down, but it is pretty much the "fuck everything up, even bosses" button if you use it judiciously.
