(39,961 posts)I have a Norn Guardian and just took part in a HUGE multi-person battle. It was awesome. People were cooperating, reviving each other, and those that were tanks were in the front while those that were DPS were kicking ass.
It was a hell of a lot of fun

(4,261 posts)However I don't pvp, is that an issue? I always thought Guild Wars was about pvp

(39,961 posts)It's more about accomplishing goals together. If you like MMO's, it really is worth the price.

(7,940 posts)End game is lackluster. Zones and dungeons are pretty much all bugged. WvWvW is a ranged AoE zergfest with three static mirrored maps and one shared map. Queues for WvW are hours long and the whole thing is a silver sink with no rewards at all. For having supposedly learned from Warhammer their implementation is just awful. S-PvP is not too bad for the most part. Maps are nicely done but all three are the same with just three points to capture and keep which will get boring rather quickly. S-PvP is also impossible for our aussie guildmates and out of 8 of them 6 have left the game already. I am in a small guild of 12 people who have been together since the start of Warhammer and the general opinion of GW2 is "meh".
I will admit though that DaoC/WH players have a different expectation for games as PvP is my guilds focus.

(39,961 posts)Maybe coming from WoW I think it's great. What do you not like about it? I particularly like that it is a fight between three factions, rather than just two. Three allows two to team up and tackle a faction that gets to full of itself.

(7,940 posts)In warhammer there were 3 "pairings" with three zones in each pairing and fighting would be spread out across them taking objectives and capturing keeps. Locking down a zone would open up a fortress for attack which in turn opened up the enemies City and King for attack. GW2 did not add such dynamic aspects to the maps and went the static route..
The biggest problem is also the lack of guild queues so people can get in and play together, but that is small stuff and can be fixed easily. Half my guildies are aussies though and they found PvP unplayable due to the lag.
I love the aspect of three realms and the balance that helps to bring I just find the maps lackluster.

(39,961 posts)we will get better maps. And yes, the 3 sided fight is always better than a two sided one. The game hasn't been out for long, so I say give it a chance. I'm not trying to be a fangirl, I just think that there are some bugs that need to be worked out, and that they will .
What level are your characters? Full Disclosure: I only have a lvl 35 Sylvari Warrior and a lvl 24 Norn Guardian. I like that I can participate in WvW despite not being max level.

(39,961 posts)the flamethrower is awesome as DPS, but I tend toward tanks. I would like to level a Mesmer, too
