I had an amazing experience once on a back road. Vulture landed on the road in front of my car. I stopped the car and sat there waiting for it to move. It looked up at me. The vulture had gleaming black feathers that glistened in the light. It was beautiful! Haven't looked at vultures the same way since. Neat birds!
