A friend here on the island is a rehabber. Her hubby is a tree expert - arborist. When a nest is in a tree, he always brings it to her, and she raises the eggs/hatchlings and sets them free. She had two raccoons that couldn't live in the wild as they'd been injured. We got to cuddle them. One got out and disappeared. I should call her. I got to see the three baby robins she raised. She has a magical touch.
