What an amazing picture! I live in the Midwest so we have regular cardinals here. When I saw a purrhuloxia on a trip to Arizona, I started sputtering because I knew what it was, but couldn't remember the name. Do you think we could, just informally, give it another common name that is easier to remember and to pronounce?

and the second half of the name describes its beak. People have already created various popular names for this bird, but the original name packs so much information in one word
