(188 posts)I think I now have enough of your bird pics to make a calendar. Thank you!

(15,279 posts)"birder" but I do love birds and take delight in their beauty...visual and auditory....and watching how they live their lives. I live in TN and this time of year the morning chorus is delightful. The mockingbirds are out-doing one another. Chickadees are frequent customers at my feeders so I will be on the lookout for their moss-gathering, which is something I've never noticed.
I don't know where you find these wonderful pictures, Donkees, but please "keep them coming"!

(1,230 posts)Lots of chickadees here on the mountain. Ive spotted 2 nesting pairs on the creek side porch and there are at least 2 more in the barn. Watching them and the rest of the birds brings me some joy and sweet Shalom throughout the day. The fresh air and sunshine are restorative, too.
Thank you, Donkees.

(333 posts)We've been getting the fee-bee call for a couple of weeks now. Though I have not observed nesting activity, it could be happening. And a pair of mourning doves is checking out a small blue spruce where the doves nested last year. I have no idea if it's the same pair, but it's sweet. Song sparrows are at it, too. : )
