Snell gets a no-hitter for the Giants in Cincinnati.

Sends a message to all the teams that made low-ball offers at the trade deadline (or so people say)

It was his first.

I heard it on the radio.

There was a one-hour rain delay, which reminds me of the game I attended many years ago.

A rain delay and then a no-hitter by Earl Wilson in Fenway.

came off the DL. He has been almost unhittable his last three or four starts. The Giants starting pitching lineup is excellent but it seems unlikely they can make it into the Wild card.

The idiot I am, I didn't realize it was a no-hitter until the end of the seventh.

Sometimes I get the feeling that the pitchers have to throw a shutout for the (maybe) one run to win.

It's just puzzling, with so many decent hitters on the team.

It is just so depressing to hear another "STRIKE THREE CALL", or
"He swung and missed at that high fastball"

Pat the Bat is hitting coach, and he ought to be getting more from the hitters. They are at or near the bottom of the barrel with runners in scoring position. Home run crazy, it seems.

Hoping they get their offensive act together.

He can go almost half a season looking horrible or like a Cy Young winner. It's so Jekyll and Hyde with him.
