Went to London, in Jolly Old this past weekend
That is a place in which I don't want to drive. I have driven through on the freeway and around the outskirts. Especially fun in a car with left hand drive.
I looked at some of the bike infrastructure, exciting in places.... Shared bus/bike lanes.
The car lanes are narrow. You can see from the picture with a separated bike lane how the busses, which are narrower than in the US fill the lane.

They have put in some double bike lanes where they could.
At the same time most inner city roads are 20 miles per hour. They also have a congestion charge along with an emmisions area that was recently enlarged. This has helped clear the air.
Even though cycling is a 4.5% share of road use per day they have 1.26 million trips by bike per DAY. Imagine what it would be like with no cyclists. This has also helped boost the walking share to 27% (2022 numbers). Better cycling infrastructure also has helped make better pedestrian infrastructure. The bus system is huge and more and more electrified.
