Others have Nothing, and don't know whether they'll live another day.

You could buy Two Hundred Eighty $100,000 Cars for the price of this one.

I am sure it was meant to be aspirational, but all it makes me aspire to is to stay as far away from these people as possible.

The price of a car like that could house and feed a family for at least 5 years. And don’t get me started on the yachts.

...it is pure automotive art. It's very functional, but will never serve that purpose unless crossing the judges stand at the Pebble Beach Concours de'Elegance.

This will not be driven any more than one would hang a Degas or a Renoir on the porch exposed to the elements. As such, it will likely increase in value for the owner. No one knows how much, but it's a Blue Chip investment. I wish I had to foresight and means to buy a 2005 Ford GT at $150k, I could have doubled my money in 15 years.

No one would say Steve Winn buys the finest art because he has a tiny dick. Art is a safe place to park money as a hedge against inflation and bank failure. (FDIC only insures a couple hundred thousand)

This is not even the record paid for a automobile. That was broken a couple years ago with a Ferrari 250 GTO at over $50mil.
