2022 FIDE Chess Grand Prix Leg 1

What an exciting event, I enjoyed this more than last year's World Championship.

American Hikaru Nakamura who hasn't played in a classical chess event in a couple years emerged the winner. Hikaru is really easy to like and root for, he has very little ego and is extremely accessible online. No one gives more detailed accounts of what he was thinking in recapping his games. He was definitely an underdog in the finals vs Levon Aronian (USA), and he found himself in a couple bad positions, but he's just a bulldog defensively and can save bad positions better than anyone.

Here he is giving an account of his second round game, this type of insight from a GM is rare. Totally open about his thought process and without ego, I think this video can help improve anyone's game, from 1000 to 2800, this is extremely informative.
