This iteration of the Cleveland Browns re-started in 1999.

Cleveland Browns Part One - 1946 through 1995
Cleveland Browns Part Two - 1999 through present (2021)

Their actual 75th anniversary season won't be until 2024 since they technically did not exist in 1996, 1997 or 1998.

Then again, the way the NFL has mucked up the seasons (17 games now instead of 16 or 14) and thus made the record books meaningless (unless all records are now considered on a per game basis for yards, TDs, sacks, INTs, etc.) I guess it does not really matter...but if Cleveland really wants to celebrate an anniversary that badly, they can also lay claim to the Cleveland/Los Angeles/Anaheim/St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams 85th anniversary next season too!

Go Bears! (LOL)

And as a Colts fan growing up and proud Ravens fan since 1996, I knew this also.

My two regrets when the Browns came to Baltimore were:

1) Cleveland Brown fans (#1 in my book for fan loyalty) would lose their football team. I was glad the NFL granted them a new Browns franchise. Even though they are in the Ravens' division, I was glad to see them make the playoffs this past season. Cleveland deserves a successful pro football team.
2) Stallions owner Jim Speros would have to leave Baltimore upon the Ravens arrival. When the NFL turned their noses up to Baltimore and awarded franchises to Jacksonville and Charlotte, Speros gave the Baltimore football fans a successful pro team to support. Speros was able to move the Stallions to Montreal and they became the new version of the Alouettes.

I did a quick Google/Wiki check on Speros before I posted.

Also, I agree about Charlotte and Jax but I don't hate on the Jags, their fans or Jacksonville.

I got over the Colts leaving pretty quickly; I rooted for Washington until the Ravens arrived. Washington is still my favorite NFC team.

There was one silver lining to the Colts leaving Baltimore- no more having to deal with Bob Irsay. The worst thing to happen to the Colts and Baltimore was when Irsay purchased the Rams in the early 70s and he and Colt owner Carroll Rosenbloom switched franchises.
