The Fly by William Blake

Little fly,
Thy summer’s play
My thoughtless hand
Has brushed away.

Am not I
A fly like thee?
Or art not thou
A man like me?

For I dance
And drink and sing,
Till some blind hand
Shall brush my wing.

If thought is life
And strength and breath,
And the want
Of thought is death,

Then am I
A happy fly,
If I live,
Or if I die.

Little fly
on Pence's pate
observing the V.P.
debate

Will you please land
on Donald Trump
and bite him please
upon his rump

and buzz around
and drive him wild
just to keep him
occupied

while we go vote
and vote and vote
in person or by mail,
remote

And when Joe wins
we'll dance and shout
and laugh and sing
and boot Trump out

and then, dear fly
please bite him
on the thigh
