communication has ceased the silent time has begun
to awaken in some expectation less and less each day
the words once held a feast now a famine has come
slowly arrives a realization as all the colors turn gray
as nothing has been heard not a single soft quiet cry
feeling as if being immersed into dense ocean’s depth
and not even a single word saying hello or goodbye
spontaneous unrehearsed breathing breathless breath
lips that once spoke in love a secret language of two
ears that did hear whispers speaking in endearments
the sounds so special whereof hearts dazzled by dew
to whom there are no resistors to the wine’s ferment
i have fallen into the long silence wonder if to let go
in desperate need of guidance knowledge comes slow
