Why do you stare at me?
What have I done to you?
You do not know me
You cant see inside me
My thoughts turn to darkness
Whenever I see you
My stone-headed puppets
Who obey my commands
I would push the big red button
If I thought it would end the pain
Wipe out the hovering ghosts
That flit within my empty skull
They gave me the codes to make it happen
The protocols to be ignored
In an instant of desperation
I would end this infested world
--
I am a monster
Thats what they say
My enemies abound
Around and around
I am a monster
A creature of pain
Inflictor of suffering
Deliberately evil
--
If you can see my hidden face
Buried beneath the orange layers
I will find you, I will destroy you
So my secrets are not revealed
If you witness my uncountable crimes
I will turn the tables on you
Until your name is stricken
From this world forever
A warning from this monster

Have a pleasant weekend! (There is hope...)

I have a couple of them waiting in the wings for the final result of the election. I just don't know which to post yet, as we don't yet have the winner.

(37 posts)I read all four of the poems you recommended: you sure have that "dread" thing down! Maybe you can write for a heavy metal band...
I can also write with optimism, but there's nothing optimistic with Mr. Orange.
I'm actually more of a progger than a metalhead.
