New to the group, wanted to say hello and introduce myself

Good morning!

My name is Will Parkinson (shocking, I know). I live in Milwaukee with my husband of a quarter-century, and our motley assortment of rescue dogs and cats.

I'm also the author of two young adult books (Pitch & Wet Paint - Pitch was my first book, so it's hopeful that my writing has improved since then.)

I've also got books out as Parker Williams (that's a much longer list). My favorites are 500 Miles (I made my editor cry), and the Collars & Cuffs series that I cowrote with a woman from England (K.C. Wells). My latest releases were Haven's Creed (a dark, kind of violent book), and Dom of Ages (part of the C & C world).

It's a pleasure to be here.

As for what I'm reading now: I just started Wedding Favors by Anne Tenino. I tend toward gay fiction and romance as my reads of choice, with a heavy leaning to shifter stories.

So

probably because we're reading! Our host, hermetic, usually starts the weekly thread on Sunday and we chime in with what we're reading. Hermetic also started the 2016 "Best Books" thread where you can post the best books you have read during the year.

Happy reading!

Welcome to our little reading room. Always good to know we have another published author here at DU. There are quite a few, you know.

I used to spend a lot of time in Wisconsin. Always had good times in Milwaukee.

I look forward to your participation.
