New Preston/Child novel

Douglas Preston writes occasional nonfiction pieces for the New Yorker magazine. In the May 17, 2021 issue, the magazine published an article of his entitled, “Has an Old Soviet Mystery at Last Been Solved?”
The article investigated the strange fate of nine cross-country skiers in the Ural Mountains of Russia, who died under absolutely horrifying and bizarre circumstances on the slopes of a remote massif called Height 1079. This has now led to Preston and Lincoln Child creating a gripping new mystery for Special Agent Corrie Swanson and archaeologist Nora Kelly to solve, with a solution to the mystery that is astonishing and original--yet totally believable.

Douglas Preston and Lincoln Childs' Dead Mountain, is due out in August, though you can preorder signed copies now. Can't wait to read this one.

I learned about this from the newsletter I now get from them.

They’re gripping and exciting with many twists.

Right now, I’m reading their book “Cemetery Dance.”

Highly recommended.
