James Patterson.
Im about 150 pages into it. I wont say its riveting, but I will say that it has some events that raise my awareness of what might be going on behind closed doors.

(447 posts)I thought it was great fun. The president gets to drive a getaway car and shoot at the bad guys! I didn't for a moment think any of it could really happen, but that didn't dim my enjoyment.

I read the book and enjoyed it, but I'm a tough critic and judged the novel, on the whole, to be just kinda pedestrian. That being said, the quotes were worth the price of admission.

(31,434 posts)There were too many cases of the authors misleading the reader to think something had happened, for example somebody had been killed, and then it turned out they werent. I dont like it when an author(s) wont play straight with me.
