The Filibuster Optics

My eyes are wide open.

Not just Manchin and Sinema - but everyone they are providing cover for . . .

They are sending a loud message to me that a pre-civil war and segregationist Senate Rule to ensure the Enslavement states Senators have "their say" is more important than individual non white tax paying citizens having theirs.

In particular - Sinema - when she loses or wins but has her opponent appointed by the Arizona GOP I'm going to laugh.

She doesn't get a cent from me for her campaign and truthfully? The CBC should be looking now at the bench in the Latino and Native Americans in the party in AZ to find someone to primary her.

We are losing that seat anyways due to her self-inflicted wound. Doesn't matter who the candidate is.

As for Manchin - time for black folks to paint him as a Segregationist. He is literally showing me that my hard working, tax paying citizens and FULL human being family members in GA, AL, TN, and yes - AZ - are not good enough to vote.

They have a choice - be for full humanity and citizenship for black Americans - or be painted as an UnAmerican Bigot.

Manchin is simply corrupt. His bosses are the fossil maggots, not the American people. rickyhall Jul 2021 #2

“We invite you to join us for a special evening supporting our friend, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin,” according to the invitation’s cover letter, which went on to call Manchin “a longtime friend since his days as Governor of West Virginia.

You can't be friends with this black woman in NJ who happens to be a high dollar donor to the Democratic Party - and be friends with the White Texas GOP who don't want non-white citizens (they hate our guts) to vote.

Oh my.

JustAnotherGen said the quiet part out loud.

I'm not the only black American who thinks this. I'm just one of those willing to put it where only the goats can get it. At the root.

We have all three chambers - in our dreams. This situation is unconscionable and I detest such dissent in our ranks. The right to vote should be sacrosanct in any any every Americans mind - Republican as well as Democrat, for as we all know, the tables can turn on a dime.

I am disgusted with the delay tactics being used by Republicans, the aspect of minority rule by Republicans, gerrymandering and the damn turncoats in our own party.

If we don’t get serious voting legislation passed, we might as well bend over and kiss our sorry asses goodbye.

If they send us back to 1950 - the GOP and anyone who allows it - do so at the peril of extreme civil conflict.

This is not 1919 - we are not our grandparents. This won't end well.
