Sherell Bates is pregnant with twins, but apparently a Staples store manager in North Carolina had some doubts.

Bates was questioned by a police officer at a Pineville store on Friday after the manager asked him to speak with the very pregnant shopper. She was asked what was under her shirt.

Cops said the officer approached Bates because the manager believed she could have been "concealing merchandise."

My twins are now in junior high...

I was accused of stealing so I asked, "Do you want me to lift my shirt so you can see my fucking stomach? Would that make you happy?" The security guard immediately declined. I was at the end of a twin pregnancy in summertime and miserable.

I certainly wished I could have recorded it at the time.
