Facing Race is a nationwide gathering of artists, activists, leaders, and a unique, collaborative space for educating, movement making, and organizing.

Throughout our three day #FacingRace conference, a range of inspiring and powerful voices took to the stage. Rinku Sen delivered an uplifting and invigorating speech after a difficult election cycle, and we were inspired by the sights and sounds of live musicians, spoken word artists, and poignant dance pieces. Here are some highlights, showcasing some of the excitement, energy, and beauty captured at Facing Race 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Race Forward advances racial justice through research, media and practice. Founded in 1981, Race Forward brings systematic analysis and an innovative approach to complex race issues to help people take effective action toward racial equity. Race Forward publishes the daily news site Colorlines and presents Facing Race, the country’s largest multiracial conference on racial justice.
