that was held in a convention center where there were large Indian weddings every weekend. I’ve never seen such beautiful clothes on every adult and child. Everyone at our conference agreed the weddings were the best part of being there.

In the text, it said most of the women were real life brides, not models.

The dresses look expensive because of the materials; I think if I were of lesser means, I'd start saving as a girl just so I could have one!

I'm sure they are vastly more than the typical over-priced wedding dress in this country.

One of my guilty pleasures.

But the dresses in the OP are probably vastly more expensive.

When I got married in 1980, I wore a dress my sister had made for me several years before, that I'd already worn a few times. It wasn't at all a traditional wedding dress, although it was floor length. I was very comfortable in it and it was perfect for the occasion.

Plus, I was already 32 years old and did not feel right wearing a traditional wedding dress. I know that things are very different these days. We also got married in the back yard of the home my husband had grown up in. Maybe 30 or so guests. Even though the marriage came to an end a decade or so ago, it was a great wedding, one I'd do all over again.

We were outdoors, made sandwhich and potato salad. My dress was out of the sale rack. $99. It was a long white dress but it was eyelet lace. Very different than any other to this day.

On Yes to the dress they showed a great in seersucker. I loved it.

I hate most of the US type cleavage dresses.

are sleeveless. That's not a look that actually works for everyone.

I notice the sleeve thing changing.

Remember those sleeves on Diana’s dress..
Like hot air balloons.

Oh and bling bling bling bling.

But the British royal family is going to be quite different.

On Say Yes To The Dress, which I haven't actually watched in a long time, I saw maybe two brides get a dress with sleeves. Some dresses were merely sleeveless, but the vast majority were strapless altogether. It's not a good look for everyone.

Diana's dress was pretty much the ugliest wedding dress ever, although Jackie Kennedy's was a close second.
