I'm headed back to Oak Street Health, this morning. Wish me luck.

Now, normally a 'wellness visit' is lab work and exam, all in the same day. That didn't happen last month. All that happened was me being traumatized by a callous APN.

Short update: After the nice phone call from their practice manager, to find out what happened that made me so upset, she said they'd have a talk with the provider and did ask if I'd agree to see this her one more time. Turns out she WASN'T the MD I saw before. Both are young, attractive, dark haired Mediterranean women (both are of Italian descent) and I'd only seen the MD once and that was a brief visit. In my anxiety I got confused. It would have helped if she had actually introduced herself. She is an APN.

But I digress. Today's visit is for the lab work that should have been done on June 7. Then I'll be seeing her, again. Not sure if this is for the wellness visit but I'm assuming so. Then I go back in a week for a routine EKG, although I might reschedule that. I'll see how this visit goes. Two doctor appointments in a week is a bit overwhelming.

So yes, I'm really in a high state of anxiety, right now. I'm trying to time taking my medications so that they will be in full force when I get there.

The practice manager promised to call me, tomorrow, to see how it went. If I am still uncomfortable, they will reassign me.

Oh, and it's going to be in the 90s today. I'll turn on the AC before I flop into bed to recover.

I’ve had much better luck with D.O.s than M.Ds.
Might just be the luck of the draw. Or, they are better trained in patient relationship.

If I forget that I am 82, my body reminds me. I do my exercises to relieve my arthritic back on the bed because I get so exhausted from the pain. It takes its toll. I'm full of acceptance of this reality now, so I flop down in mid morning for a bit and mid afternoon before I must make dinner.

It seems like hubby and I are living between doctor's/therapists appointments and trips to get groceries/health products/prescriptions that we need to get by personal visits.

In between, I am writing my book. But not too long on the computer! My back doesn't like it!

This happens whenever I have doctor and lab appointments. There is also an 80 - 110 mile car ride for doctor appointments.

I do understand how you feel. I had to go to 4 different Doctors to get released. Each one changed a medication. By the time it. Got to my Family Doctor he chance one pill to half.

My Son is upset about that. I think I am taking 7 pills to make my heart stronger.

They told me over and over what to ask the Doctor. I finally told my Son to call the Doctor himself and he would know.

My Grandson’s smile became a laugh out loud. I said,” Now he is laughing at us. He had been on his computer, works in AI

I had heard the inlaws could not even agree where to go out to eat.
Different Doctors have different opinions.

The pill in question control my heart rythm so it is important, Half a pill or whole one!
But I am getting stronger each day.

One retired, one had a baby, one - I don't know what the hell happened with her.

I'm also stressing, a bit, over whether they told this APN who it was that had the issue with her. If they did, I guess I'll find out how good of a person she is. And I'm also worried about even mentioning anxiety since she scoffed at that during my last visit.

I guess I'll know within an hour, or so.

a smooth, comforting visit today that quickly removes all of your anxiety.

And without even thinking of fortifying with some Jack Daniel's, Wild Turkey, or Who Shot John.
