I remember being impressed by the structures that remain when I first moved to the city from California.

(135,784 posts)1964! Went to England with Experiment for International Living, which was only 1 semester, but I 'refused' to return home, so stayed, willy-nilly, until June, 'based' in Nottingham, and traveled in Britain and the continent. A life-sculpting time.
