If she did not allow this, & silently encourage this, it would not happen. What is your opinion?

(15,294 posts)true. I've learned over the years that true things whispered will turn into true things roared. It's sad.

(38,726 posts)Also, if Ellen knew her people were treating others that way, why wouldn't she stop it?
.......Also, do people assume she does not know about this behavior?....My guess she knows.
......Also, if Ellen herself is that way, wouldn't the producers of her show mimic her behavior?
....Quite ugly, but my feeling is that this is true....Let's see if Ellen fires her producers...All of them.
.....And how she handles the publicity about this story.

(10,752 posts)Then when she became a candidate and I actually listened to the accusations and did my research, I found it was all bullshit. So, I am particularly careful now especially with powerful women. But, I didn't read the article, just listening to you guys, and Ellen may be guilty. No idea.

Ive heard rumors for years.

(25,185 posts)of most all so-called "reality" television? I suppose that the American Idol type shows don't feature humiliation as a centerpiece of their business model, but most of them have a "Simon" on the ever-present panel to provide a bit of stinging criticism for entertainment value.
I remember when cooking shows were about people teaching viewers how to make delicious food, rather than being about Gordon Ramsey and his clones shrieking at befuddled would-be chefs.

(12,879 posts)Let's let her be dropped 25 feet through the "Know-or-Go trap" door one time and see how she likes it. Christ, in Australia she dropped people 30 feet into the cold waters of the Sydney harbor -- without wetsuits! Or let her be blindfolded and dropped 20 feet into slime during "You Bet Your Wife."
Hey, I've got an idea for a game: velcro a blindfolded Ellen to a vertical spinning disk and have two contestants -- one with a paintball gun filled with yellow balls and a second contestant doing the same with red balls -- shoot at her spinning body. Most hits wins. It will be a yuck-a-second.
