There was a Democratic debate last night, so what is on the main page/blogs of DailyKos? The articles, in order (only listing those post-debate):
1. Trump manages to edge out fictional rodent in picking the next Supreme Court justice
2. Marco Rubio just doesn't want to embarrass his kids. Or so he says.
3. Ted Cruz: Ignorant hicks vote for Trump, smart people vote for me
4. Rubio would rather lose to Trump on his own than form a unity ticket with Cruz
5. Donald Trump: 'Islam hates us' with 'a tremendous hatred' and therefore ...
6. Senate Republicans skew Supreme Court polling
7. Cartoon: The Republican Monster turns on its creator
8. Morning Digest: In a miraculous set of victories, Kentucky Democrats hold the state House
9. Daily Kos Radio is LIVE at 9 AM ET!
10. Cheers and Jeers: Thursday
11. Abbreviated Pundit Round-up: Gearing for the general; what happened in Michigan?
12. Open thread for night owls: Congress on the verge of snatching food from mouths of the poor
See anything about the debate? ANYTHING???? Hello?

(10,007 posts)Why do flagship "Democratic" sites (even ones with "Democratic" in their name) focus so intently on what Republicans do and say?
I googled "Pic of the Moment democraticunderground" and here are the results:
https://www.google.com/search?site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1440&bih=739&q=pic+of+the+moment+democraticunderground&oq=pic+of+the+moment+democraticunderground&gs_l=img.3...696.6837.0.6949.39.8.0.23.0.0.355.864.2-2j1.3.0....0...1ac.1.64.img..13.2.509.H8OvIdYcfc8
The "Pic of the Moment" is the first and most prominet thing visitors to the site see, and it's always about something horrible or stupid that a Republican did or said. It's exactly the same thing over at DailyKos.
What this tells me is that Democratic Party operatives know that the Party establishment has no new ideas or solutions to present, so they bury us under Republican horror stories to keep us scared and angry and thus controlled.

(1,178 posts)Looks like both are acceptable today, probably because enough non-journalistic types like me have misused the term so much that the incorrect version has taken over! Thanks for the education- it is a good day when I learn something new!
