I live in MD and I am thrilled and proud of my liberal state.
Gay marriage was already passed by the legislature here, what does it mean or change by putting it on the ballot? Isn't it already law?

Gay Marriage in MD Approved by Legislature and Gov is to Take Effect Jan 2013, but Maryland allows referendums to permit the law to take effect or to stop it.
Vote to affirm the law and tell your fellow citizens.
