I always despise the logic of random, gestapo style policing. Yes, when you card people who are walking the street in crime ridden neighbourhoods you may decrease crime via some reporting skewing. Why not just lay that argument for MORE interference against our liberties to further decrease crime? Why not have a camera outside everyones home to protect and decrease crime? How about a chip in the ear so we can solve every crime? How about we just circumvent the judicial system and label all criminals as such at the word of an undercover (ooops, they do that already in Canada)?

It's the logic of someone who doesn't appreciate civil liberties; unfortunately this has fast become the Canadian way, a country I wouldn't visit if I didn't live here. I would advise Americans especially to refrain from visiting.

...require everyone to be chipped, GPSed, fingerprinted and randomly followed and wiretapped? Oh wait, we have a place mostly like that now. It's called ADX Florence. You stay in your place; you do what you're told; you don't own weapons. Management provides for all your needs... except freedom, hope and human contact.
