I found a very entertaining series on YouTube: BBC's "A Victorian Farm Christmas"

I never knew how they made bricks or what goes into shoeing a horse. The elaborate preparations for Christmas in Victorian England is fascinating:

The British series “Supersizers” on YouTube. Two people attempt to live a week eating exactly as they would have ( if they were relatively well off, not peasants) in past eras. And they dress the part. Back when the London water was deadly. So they drink ale and wine all day. Almost no green vegetables. Some of the meals are outrageous. They get medically evaluated before and after. Pretty funny stuff. The woman, Sue, reappears in the Great British Baking Show
