It's 5:30am. I'm up, dressed, and awaiting the first of 2 flea related Amazon deliveries.

One will be here VERY soon. Not the one I WISH was first, but it will be here later today,

I used a topical flea treatment on Sian and she spent the day shunning me. I couldn't even get her to take any treats. Well, that is until I brought out a squeeze treat. Then she was all in. Then she finally relented to let me give her some affection. Arthur and Madoc shunned me, too, but not for long. Bedtime was snuggle time, again.

Gryff got a good combing and, for a change, didn't give me a hard time. The last time I applied a topical to him, he had a kind of a bad reaction. I'm sticking to sneaking some spray treatment on to a comb and he will get a pill when I have that pill shooter in hand.

I am going to buy some borax to add to the diatomaceous earth and nematode treatment.

It dawned on me, yesterday, it would be wise of me to move the feral's feeding station away from the house and treat that area, daily, with one remedy or another. I might even put down a bit square of black plastic. The shade from the maple tree has killed a section of grass, so that might be the ideal spot.

This is what my brain works on when I should be sleeping.

but years ago our vet recommended adding a bit of brewer's yeast to our dog's food.

Once we'd gotten rid of the fleas with flea baths, it really did seem to keep them away.

mixed into the wet food. But I wouldn't recommend it for use without consulting a vet. It was decades ago that we used it and it was for dogs so I'd ask a vet to confirm it's safe for cats and that new information hasn't been discovered that advises against it.

Everything in moderation. It's like putting vinegar in their drinking water. Just a little is needed. Too much could potentially cause issues.

My cats' food for a variety of reasons, fleas being one of them, just watch the amount. Was recommended by a vet I took my cats to in California where fleas were horrible.

My recipe was; quality wet food, a pinch (up to 1/16 tsp) a small amount of olive oil, a a few pieces of kibble and mix it together with a splash of my hot coffee water so the flavors blend but not into a soup. I didn't have flea problems after that.
